MOULD PREPARATION

After collecting all the materials, a mould was prepared. A typical wooden mould is shown in the below figure.
Mould
This mould was prepared with a non-water absorbing plywood material in the size of 230mm length, 110mm wide and 80mm deep. The shorter sides of the mould are slightly projecting to serve as handle. The bricks shrink during drying, hence the mould was prepared larger than the actual size of the brick. And joints were made without any hole or gap to avoid leakage.
